Visslaは、2019年のVissla ISA World Junior Surfing Championship開催を発表しました。Vissla ISA Juniorsは、18歳以下のサーフィンの世界チャンピオンを決めるプレミア世界選手権です。ガブリエル・メディナ、ステファニー・ギルモア、ジョーディ・スミス、コートニー・コンローグ、フィリペ・トレド、キャロライン・マークス、ジュリアン・ウィルソン、タチアナ・ウェストン・ウェッブ、オーウェン・ライト、タイラー・ライト、ローラ・エネヴァー、サリー・フィッツギボンズ、レオナルド・フィオラヴァンティ、ブリサ・ヘネシーなど、数多くのスター選手が金メダルを獲得し、そのキャリアをスタートさせました。2018年の大会では、日本がチーム総合金メダルを獲得し、2020年の東京オリンピックでの画期的なデビューに向けて、日本におけるサーフィンの急速な発展を浮き彫りにしました。サーフィンにおける男女平等を推進するための長年の取り組みを継続し、Vissla ISA World Juniorsでは2019年も男子と女子の出場枠を均等にします。このISAの取り組みは、2018年大会において記録的な人数で女子選手が出場し、彼女らが世界レベルの才能をグローバルな舞台で披露したことで、成功を収めました。ハンティントンビーチ・ピアで開催される今年のイベントのライブ映像は、10月26日からisasurf.orgで中継されます。

Vissla is proud to announce the 2019 Vissla ISA World Junior Surfing Championship.

The Vissla ISA Juniors is the premiere world championship for crowning 18 and under Surfing World Champions. The event has awarded Gold Medals that launched the careers of numerous stars of the sport, including Gabriel Medina, Stephanie Gilmore, Jordy Smith, Courtney Conlogue, Filipe Toledo, Caroline Marks, Julian Wilson, Tatiana Weston-Webb, Owen Wright, Tyler Wright, Laura Enever, Sally Fitzgibbons, Leonardo Fioravanti and Brisa Hennessy.

The 2018 edition saw Japan take the overall Team Gold Medal, highlighting the rapid development of Surfing in the country in the leadup to the sport’s landmark debut at the Tokyo 2020 Olympic Games.

Continuing a longstanding commitment to promote gender equality in surfing, the Vissla ISA World Juniors will again offer equal slots for boys and girls in 2019. The ISA’s efforts proved successful in 2018 as girls competed in record numbers and showcased their world-class talent on a global stage.
