我々のパートナーであるエコロジーセンターを訪問し、創業者でVISSLAのクリエーター＆イノベーターでもあるエヴァン・マークス氏にインタビューをしました。エヴァンは熱心なサーファーですが、それだけでなく我々の世界をより住みやすい場所にする事を使命として取り組んでいます。

エコロジーセンターは、8年前にエヴァンによって設立された非営利団体で、人類が地球上で自然と共に繁栄する為の解決策に焦点を当てた環境教育センターです。パーマカルチャー(※説明1)とアグロエコロジー(※説明2)を専門としてきたエヴァンは、カリフォルニアとハワイだけでなくコスタリカ、ペルー、メキシコ、ガーナ、ナイジェリアなどの国々で国際的に幅広い活動をしてきた経験から、１人１人はが個々の変化によって環境に対して直接影響を与えることができる事を実感しています。

(※説明2)生態系と調和を保ちながら作物を育てる方法で、作物を病気から強くし、作物の収量増加や二酸化炭素を土壌へ貯留する取り組み。

We visited our partners at The Ecology Center to have a chat with the founder and Vissla Creator & Innovator, Evan Marks. Not only is Evan an avid surfer, but he's been on a mission to make our world a better place to live in. The Ecology Center was founded by Evan over 8 years ago as a non-profit eco-education center focused on creative solutions for thriving on planet Earth.
